Membership in the Sarasota County Civic League

As a non partisan organization, the Sarasota County Civic League provides a community forum for members to be engaged and informed citizens of the Sarasota Community. Meeting once a month, the Sarasota County Civic League hosts guest speakers to discuss community events, local political elections, proposed county, city and state laws, amendments and issues, and much more.

The Sarasota County Civic League engages its membership in discussions with guest speakers during question and answer periods to ensure that its members are more informed about local events and topics as a result of having attended Civic League meetings. During political seasons, the Sarasota County Civic League invites candidates running for office as guest speakers, allowing members to learn about the candidates and make an informed decision on Election Day.

As many local elected officials attend meetings of the Sarasota County Civic League, our members have the opportunity to get to know their elected officials on a one to one basis.
