The Pledge Against Negative Campaign Advertising

The Sarasota County Civic League, in an effort to curb the use of negative campaign ads, invites all local candidates running for office to sign the Civic League’s Pledge against Negative Campaign Advertising. This is a step toward restoring integrity to our election process.

We ask candidates to make the pledge and hold true to their pledge. The community and voters should assess whether a candidate kept their pledge during the conduct of their campaign.
